PERSONAL TRAINER

Cody Davis

I began my fitness career in January of 2006. At only 19 I earned my personal training certification from the International Sports Science Association (ISSA). Over the next thirteen years I worked in many different types of gyms and health clubs. My primary job was always in a one on one capacity as a personal trainer, but I did teach a variety of fitness related classes: P.I.Y.O, Yoga, Stretch & Flex, Bootcamp, Step aerobics, and others. During this time I also had the pleasure of training at least a dozen women through their pregnancies.

The years I spent there also provided me with other skills such as nutrition programming, membership sales, gym and equipment maintenance, and overall general management.
In 2017 I began a career in law enforcement with the Prescott Police Department. During my time as a police officer I still continued to train part time. I also had the privilege of helping many of my fellow officers, and co workers on their fitness journeys.

After serving as a police officer for just over 5 years I decided to return to my love of personal training full time. I am proficient in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and martial arts. I have earned two black belts; the first in Shaolin Kung Fu from Sifu Bruce Carlino, and the second from Sifu Jim Adkins. I've had over a dozen personal trainers and coaches in my lifetime who have taught me many different styles of training, and coaching.

In July of 2020 I had lower back surgery to repair a herniated disk, but I've made a full recovery since. I've been able to use my experience and knowledge to help others workout and recover through their injuries as well. Currently my hobbies include weightlifting, martial arts, and spending time with my wonderful family: my better half Jordan, my beautiful daughter Melody, and let's not forget Jax the frenchie.

I began my career as a hair stylist in 2008 at the age of 19. I went to the Salon Professional Academy; a Redken Speciality Salon School in WA. Shortly after receiving my license I moved to Los Angeles, California where I trained with celebrity hairstylists Kim Vo, and Guy Tang. I spent 10 years in West Hollywood at Salon Republic before moving to Prescott, Arizona where I continue to pursue my passion for hair.

Fitness has always been a part of my life and something I'm very passionate about. It has had such a positive impact on both my mental and physical health. It's helped me find strength and confidence that I never knew I had. A healthy lifestyle and exercise is vital and important in my long term career as a hairstylist. In 2022 I became a certified personal trainer. I now aspire to help others reach their fitness goals, and to live a long and healthy life.
